After a disappointing loss to region opponent Southwest Dekalb High School (SWDK), the 8-1 Bulldogs face their biggest test on Friday.

The Bulldogs take on cross-town region rival, 7-2 St. Pius X High School (SPX) at the Decatur High School stadium affectionately called the Dawg House. While aspirations of an undefeated season came up just short, a win this Friday, and a SWDK loss, Coach Felton’s dawgs could still clinch a region 6, division 5A championship.

This matchup will be tough, especially considering the impressive resume of St. Pius. Their most impressive wins are a 24-17 win over perennial powerhouse Blessed Trinity and a convincing 33-13 win over Southwest Dekalb.

With that being said, the Bulldogs, led by their swarming defense, have impressive wins against Greater Atlanta Christian and Wesleyan. It is sure to be an even matchup on both sides of the ball.

Expect it to be a low scoring game, considering St. Pius and Decatur rank #1 and #2 respectively in the region for points allowed in region play.

With talks of being the most anticipated DHS football game since 2004, and it sure to be rocking in the Dawg House. The stands will be decked out with students in camouflage with the theme being Camo Night. This follows the popular Pink Out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Although the Atlanta Braves parade is causing CSD to shut down on Friday, the fans will show up. But which team will show up on the field?
