Students played the role of attorneys, witnesses, time keepers and court artists as they argued against other schools and presented a case before a judge. After a make-up round took place on Wednesday the 6th, Decatur’s mock trial team won first place.

‘A Dancer’s Heart’

A Dancer's Heart is an organization started in memory of Imani Thompson-Twine, who was a DHS rising senior when she passed away in June of 2010. During the past seven years they have partnered with the Decatur Education Foundation to provide a scholarship to a graduating female senior at DHS and provide other leadership and life skill workshops on mental illness, staying safe, financial literacy, and college help.
