NCAA cancels National Track & Field Championships due to COVID-19 concerns

On March 12, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released a statement announcing the cancellation of the National Indoor Track & Field Championships. They cited this decision as stemming from concerns regarding COVID-19. Sam Ellis, Princeton runner and Decatur alumni, was in Albuquerque, New Mexico when he discovered his event was cancelled, and was "frustrated."
