SGA has already started planning homecoming events, and the dance is just the start.

The thrill of the last first week of school is over for seniors and as the year starts the season of stress is about to begin. Seniors replace the thoughts of IB and AP exams, Extended Essays and college applications with the excitement of upcoming social events like homecoming.

SGA has already started planning for homecoming related events such as the pep rally, individual themes of homecoming week, and the overall theme of the dance. So what’s the news?

This year’s homecoming theme is, drum roll please… Superheroes! The week will entail pajama day (superhero’s day off), a twin “partners in crime” day, a superhero day, class color day and spirit day.

The overall theme of the dance has not been decided, as the SGA is announcing it this Friday, however a source in SGA has confirmed that the dance will be a superhero city (Gotham, for example) with a “secret identity” masquerade aspect as well.

This year’s homecoming will have the penny wars again, but instead of the winning class doing the pie in the face, SGA has decided to slime teachers at the pep rally.

So get excited for this year’s homecoming! It’s going to be super!

Superhero pun of the day: Thor is a little high strung. His brother is a little more Loki.
