Congratulations to the Decatur Marching Band and their Superior performance at their first competition this year.  The students won first place for every caption in their class — Drum Major, Colorguard, Percussion and Band.  The students were also named Silver Division Grand Champions.

Overall, their scores were the highest in school history – tying Kell High School for second place in General Effect.

“That was a blast,” Drum Corps International/Winter guard International Judge, Kat Johnson said. “Wow, just such a well-thought-out, clever, well-designed, dynamic, musical show.”

Band Director Robert Truon has also decided to bump the band up into the next class for their next competition because, “they need more of a challenge,” he said. “They’ve already won everything in their class.”
